Pasadena’s Chalk Art Festival draws onlookers and stunning visuals — on sidewalks – Pasadena Star News

Downtown Pasadena’s sidewalks become canvases for art this weekend. ChalkArt.

Pasadena’s Chalk Art Festival — in all of its colorful iterations — filled the sidewalks in and around The Paseo Colorado, in what has become a yearly destination for those who love to see the ground itself become platforms for creation.

There were murals large and small.

Organizers said there will be about 200 murals and more than 500 artists, art galleries and a silent auction, a children’s art area, and live music.

The event combined sidewalk chalk art with live entertainment at the Paseo.

The festival is set to continue until 7 pm Saturday, and get ready for more from 10 am to 7 pm on Sunday.
