Horror anthologies are one of the oldest genres in comic books. Despite being out of the game for decades, the publisher EC Comics carved out its own place in comic history with titles like The Vault of Horror, The Haunting of Fear, and of course Tales from the Crypt. These comics have been seeing a resurgence in popularity lately, as evidenced by the sheer amount of Tales From the Crypt fanart that’s popped up recently. The last few years have seen an inflated interest in horror titles and anthologies have become a great way of showcasing some truly creative storytellers. After cutting their teeth with Soul Plumberthe Last Podcast team seems to be bringing the big guns with their comic-based spinoff.

All of it adds up to a comic anthology that should get horror fans excited. Still, those fans are going to have to wait until this fall to get their hands on the next volume of The Last Comic Book on the Leftespecially if they want that awesome Bayard Morse cover.
